He received his blue belt from Pedro Sauer Gracie Jiu Jitsu association Black Belt, Keith Owen, and received his purple belt from Alliance Co-Founder, Master “Gigi” Paiva. Will has more than 5 years of experience teaching kids and adults the wonderful art of Gracie Jiu Jitsu.
“My first instructor allowed me, from very early on, to teach the techniques that I was learning. And I will never forget the first time I began training a room full of 10 year olds, when only a few months later I noticed – ‘Hey, these kids are doing Jiu Jitsu!’ What a blessing!”
After 15 years of driving the 200 mile round trip to train in Meridian, we are happy to offer quality BJJ instruction right here in Valley County.
About Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian jiu jitsu is a strategic approach to fighting (self-defense) that relies on managing the distance between the two combatants, precise timing in safely closing the distance to the aggressor, taking the aggressor to the ground, controlling him on the ground, and once he is exhausted to apply a submission lock or choke.
